Milton Family & Baby Session – Rylei & Xayden

These two little munchkins charmed their way into my heart one snowy day last month. Baby Xayden is a strong, zealous little man with an exceptionally spectacular head of hair. His cohort, Rylei, is by far the most mature 3 year old I have ever crossed paths with! Ms. Rylei was not shy to let me know when she was done with her close up, but had an amazing affinity for posing alone and with her brand new baby brother. Not to mention, she loves the colour orange; that’s just good business in my books. Parents Kristy and Xeon have their hands full with these two; full of light, laughter, and a loads of no-nonsense love.

I’m so saddened to note that since our session, Kristy and Xeon have lost a member of their canine troupe; Domi is shining down on us and will always be an integral part of your beautiful family.

Whitby Family & Baby Session: Grayson and Ryder

Say hello to the two most hilarious, handsome fellows I’ve met in a long time. Ryder, a one-month-old with an astonishingly strong stare, and his older brother Grayson charmed the pants off me a few weeks back and I’m so happy to get to share their family and baby session. Ryder did so well hanging out with me in front of the camera, and our session definitely veered into The Grayson Show more than once. I cannot stress what a hilariously phenomenal time I had with this beautiful family; take a peek for yourself.

For those of you who make it to the end of this photoset, I have to say.. Do you know when you get that feeling of balance, that feeling of “this is right”? Well, this is right. This is what I am supposed to do. I can’t say why or how I feel this way, but I do know that when I’m in the middle of a baby session, when those tiny eyes are staring through my lens into my fair-weather little heart… I’m home. So, thank you to those families who have let me experience the absolute joyful feeling of balance, of right. It’s about time.

2014 – The Year of the Tiny Human

I am so beyond blessed to announce that I have jumped head-first into a new facet of photography that I had yet to conquer personally: Baby sessions. I have previous experience with newborns, babies, and toddlers having spent some time shooting for a local studio, however I had never reached out on my own to tackle the tricky yet oh-so-rewarding soft-noggin’d creatures. Thanks to a wonderful, welcoming handful of families that have invited me into their homes (of which I turned upside down for a few crazy, creative hours) I am full-speed ahead and loving every moment of my new-found specialty. I am infatuated with the tiny, fragrant, wide-eyed wonderkins staring into my lens, and really… I get this feeling like I should have been here all along.

So here is to a new year filled with lots of screaming, crying, smiling and giggling. From iPhone white noise to dancing grandmothers, I’ve got my tickle trunk locked and loaded; coming to a crib near you.
